Gregorio has served on the boards of various Latin American companies and has been recognized by the World Economic Forum for his work with developing countries. He is a member of the Board of Qualitas of Life Foundation, The Provivah Donor Fund and the Columbia University Business School Social Enterprise Program. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and received his M.B.A. from Columbia University Business School.
Prior to The Rohatyn Group, Mr. Grunberg was General Counsel at Sojitz Corporation of America (formerly Nissho Iwai American Corporation), a global Japanese trading company with offices and operations across Latin America. While at Sojitz, Mr. Grunberg was involved with a private debt and equity portfolio that included real estate assets in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and the U.S., and was also involved in the restructuring and sale of various companies and assets located in the region.
Prior to joining Sojitz, Mr. Grunberg was an Executive Director at Illinova Generating Company (now Dynegy) where he developed power generation projects in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru and Venezuela. Mr. Grunberg was also a Director of Termoflores, a gas-fired power plant in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Mr. Grunberg holds a Law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela, a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from Universidad Central de Venezuela, a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, a Master in Law from Fordham University and a Master of Philosophy from New York University.
Mr. Covarrubias holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Santana was a financial controls manager for private equity at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group, where he was responsible for operations and reporting for several private equity funds with AUM in excess of US$2 billion. While at Och-Ziff, Mr. Santana worked on fund accounting, reporting and valuation for a portfolio of over one hundred investments in the real estate, consumer, energy and technology sectors. Mr. Santana was also responsible for the development of processes and procedures around financial controls, treasury management, valuation, reporting and technology. Prior to Och-Ziff, Mr. Santana was a manager in the fund services group at Bank of New York-Mellon, where he helped oversee large hedge fund clients.
Mr. Santana holds a BBA in Finance, with honors, from Baruch College.
During his 11+ years of experience in real estate and construction management, Mr. Gáfaro has managed projects with a total aggregate investment of US$200 million. Mr. Gáfaro has a BS in Civil Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota and is a Certified Project Manager from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Before Grupo Frisa, Mr. Baez worked for Banamex Citigroup in the investment and business divisions.
Mr. Baez holds an MBA from Universidad del Valle de Mexico and a BS in finance with a specialty in corporate finance from Escuela Bancaria Comercial in Mexico City.
Prior to joining the Manager, Mr. Nakash worked at Evercore Partners in Mexico City helping launch the first REITs in Mexico, in addition to participating in transactions and strategic advisory for real estate companies. Prior to Evercore Partners, Mr. Nakash co-founded BTS Development, a growing real estate industrial development company partnered with Prudential Real Estate Investors Latin America.
Prior to his entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Nakash worked for over four years at O’Donnell, a leading industrial real estate developer in Mexico, where he was responsible for the development, operation and leasing of industrial properties in different markets.
Mr. Nakash holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.
Ms. Soto holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administracion (CESA) in Bogota, Colombia and a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University.
Ms. Abreu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration on Finance and Investments from CUNY Baruch College in New York, NY.
Enrique has a Masters in Corporate Finance from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and is a Public Accountant from the Universidad Federico Villareal. He has also participated in Project Management and International Finance seminars from the Harvard University Extension School and the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).
Prior to joining TC, Andrea was a Senior Investment Banking Analyst at BBVA. She was part of the mergers and acquisition team, where she worked in buy and sell side advisory transactions.
Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico and has approved the first level of the Chartered financial analyst (CFA) certification.
Before Ospinas, Mr. Garcia was a financial analysts at MBA Lazard, the local branch of Lazard in Latin America, where he was part of the team that offered sell-side advisory to Corredores Asociados in its sale to Davivienda and participated in the advisory to EPM in the merger of Une and Tigo.
Mr. García holds a BS on Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
Prior to joining the Manager, Mrs. Kobashigawa was an intern at the securities desk at Scotiabank Peru.
Mrs. Kobashigawa holds a BS in Economics from the Universidad de Lima and holds a certificate in securities trading from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. She also has a Masters in Corporate Finance from the Universidad del Pacífico.
Prior to joining the Manager, Mr. Madrid worked at CBRE Mexico as a Capital Markets Analyst, and prior to that as a Business Analyst at CRECE, a local consulting firm in Mexico City.
